The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. If you have not heard we just today announced a really cool benefit to the FIRST community. Specifically, we are offering incentives for FTC, FLL, and FRC to form even more FTC teams!
If you're reading this you probably already know that FTC is growing quick, we're up about 40% over last season so far (year-over-year). You also know the national conversation on STEM is heating up. Just today FTC, FLL, and FRC teams were at the White House being recognized for their accomplishments.
More and more people are realizing that to reach more kids a program is needed that is re-usable, rugged, includes a range of technology, and is supported by a dedicated organization. Our mission to inspire the next generation of technical leaders fits perfectly.
Seems to be the culmination of a perfect storm. So... the additional grants being made available are to ensure that our community spreads the word, and that even more students can "matriculate" through the FIRST family of programs.
