Another note on Steve Jobs

"Before Steve Jobs, digital music was math class. After, it was recess."

This is the best quote I've seen regarding Steve Jobs impact in technology, and it applies far beyond music.

The genius in his work was making technology fun and available to the masses. He knew its not all about how many features can be baked in but how the user interfaces with the technology. If the user experience is positive and even playful the technology gets adopted and used. Over time that builds trust that the next products will do the same.

We've seen thousands of tech leaders, most of them pushing new technology. Most of that technology was introduced before it was ready for prime time. Let's hope future creative visionaries step up with ways to make that technology work for us in ways that delight and inspire us.

BTW the quote above was from Bill Werde, editorial director of The Billboard
