We've just released some new training materials for FTC teams at: http://www.tetrixrobotics.com/FTC/.
There you'll find basic building instructions for a standard FTC based robot as well as step-by-step instruction on using Samantha WiFi, interacting with the field control system, and other FTC specific info.
This was designed to take new teams (or newer team members) through the process. With annual growth of 30%-50% per year we have lot's of rookie teams out there who want to hit the ground running.
Those of you who teach may find these useful in the classroom too. Nothing like using FTC and TETRIX for multiple applications!
