Seventeen FTC Qualifying and Championship Tournaments took place this past weekend, making it the busiest of the season.

| VT Championship |
Teams in Vermont competed inside the University of Vermont's beautiful Dudley H. Davis Center while it snowed outside. Meanwhile, teams in San Diego, CA, practiced on outdoor fields in 70 degree weather.
A team in Pennsylvania
scored two rings during the autonomous period. Elsewhere, instead of scoring in autonomous, a robot name Psy-Borg danced "Gangnam Style".
There was also plenty of
Gracious Professionalism to go around.

Many of us from HQ were on the road for these events. I was in Vermont for their State Championship and others visited in Iowa, North Carolina, Missouri and California. It's always exciting when we have the privilege of going to events, and this weekend was no exception. We had a blast seeing the ingenuity infused into the robots and watching the teams compete together.
Now that the busiest weekend of events is over, we're turning our sights to the FTC World Championship. We hope to make it the best yet. Congratulations to all the teams that have already advanced and good luck to the teams who are still working to get there (don't forget your GP). We're looking forward to seeing you there!

I'm confused abut the team that scored two rings during the autonomous period. The game animation shows only one autonomous ring per robot is allowed.
Hi Rob,
The way it works is the second autonomous ring starts out touching our alliance partners robot at the beginning of the match. You're only allowed to have one autonomous ring at the start of the match, but our robot picks second ring off the ground in the middle of the match, since we are able to get rings off of the ground.
@Paul Davis - It's very cool that your robot can pick up, and score, a second ring during autonomous. If you have video of it in action, I'd be glad to share it on Facebook and here on the blog.
Hello,
We actually participated today in PA States got more footage of our double ring autonomous. Here is a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_DIjbUjGwg.
We would greatly appreciate if you would share it on Facebook and the blog; we feel that it is our robots “claim to fame” and will help get our name out there in Worlds.
In the NorCal Championships, team #5409 and its Alliance partner both scored its Autonomous rings. #5409 went backside to block, then sought out the beacon and scored right before time ran out.
